In recent times, we have noticed mind-blowing illustrations by artists with exceptional skills, using merely a pencil or a pen. A couple that jumps to mind is DiegoKoi and SHOHEI, who is able to produce photo-realistic drawings. It is unclear whether the above-mentioned artists directly inspired Wooster Collective, an online magazine that promotes street art. However, their latest publication, Graphite, highlights intimate pencil illustrations hand-drawn by international artists.
Contributing artists include Blu, Conor Harrington, Dan Witz, Elbow Toe, Erica II Cane, Escif, Ethos, Gaia, Hera, Jeremy Fish, Lister, Ozmo, Paul Insect, Sam3, Stephan Doitschinoff, and many more. A launch party for the new book and a yard sale will be taking place next Friday, November 16, and Saturday, November 17, in New York City. Part proceeds from the yard sale will be donated to Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund that goes directly to local people and organizations.
