Nike is breathing new life to some of its most iconic and venerable Air Max styles through the use of a new textile that the brand calls Engineered Mesh. It's applied on the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max 97, with the proprietary mesh enhancing the functionality of the sneaker without compromising the timeless design. This updated version of the traditional spacer mesh improves breathability, while eliminating excess layers and stitching for greater flexibility. Tight and loose perforation patterns are "zoned" to add a new element to the color blocking and gradient panels of these classic sneakers, paired with a leaner profile for an even lighter weight. The Engineered Mesh Air Max collection will be available starting in January 2013 as part of the Nike Women's Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
