The answer was a resounding “Yes!” as workers repaired all the necessary elements over the last two weeks to have Sneaker Con NYC up and running this past Saturday. Though with a new location far less accessible and New Yorkers still reeling from the storm’s aftermath, the venue nonetheless broke the “1000 attendees” milestone in the first hours or so. In addition to just sneakers, the event also saw an appearance of http://nba.com/knicks” target=”_blank”>New York Knicks‘ Iman Shumpert, courtesy of http://adidas.com/originals” target=”_blank”>adidas Originals, as well as product previews of upcoming collections from http://neweracap.com” target=”_blank”>New Era, http://championusa.com” target=”_blank”>Champion, and more… Of course, there were plenty of dealings too as sneakerheads cop themselves some early holiday gifts.
