KAWS on Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon | Video  The more than 3 million people who attended the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as the 50 million people who watched it on TV got an up close look at a 40-foot-long version at Brian Donnelly‘s most recognizable OriginalFake character, COMPANION. Commonly seen in 400% and even 1000% sizes, Donnelly’s – also known as KAWS’ – floating COMPANION shyly covered his face as he was led down Central Park West mixed in with Spider Man, Snoopy, and dozens of floats, clowns, and band members celebrating the holiday. As we noted in our preview of the inflatable COMPANION, it was completely painted by hand, required 30 artists seven month’s time to build, and held over 4,500 cubic feet of helium to fill.
