Jaguar has unveiled official images of its most powerful sedan ever, the Jaguar XFR-S. The vehicle debuted today at the Los Angeles Auto show, showing off its supercharged 5.0-liter V8 good for 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. Featuring a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle is capable of a 0-60 sprint time rated at 4.4 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 186 miles per hour. The suspension on the XFR-S is improved with stiffer spring rates, a new rear subframe and a retuned active rear differential with reprogrammed stability control. Aiding these improvements are a giant rear wing and wider tires from Pirelli — 265/35R20s in front and 295/30R20 in back — wrapped around forged 20-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, contrast piped seats with leather and aluminum trim provide a sleek look, while a standard 825-watt 18-speaker Meridian sound system further enhances the driving experience. Just 100 units of the XFR-S are scheduled to arrive stateside next summer, carrying a $99,000 base price.
