Neulant Van Exel – Floppy Disk Table

By - December 3rd, 2012

Before portable external hard drives and DVD burners, files had to be kept in a measly floppy disk. Performance aside, the floppy disk is a nostalgic storage device for early computer era. German design studio, Neulant Van Exel, immortalized the floppy disk by designing this Floppytable. This table measures 27.56 inches wide and 25.59 inches in high, and is constructed from a combination of hot-rolled steel and stainless steel. Each table comes with a lasered serial number and is produced by hand. The stainless steel cover slides to reveal a secret compartment for keeping remote controls and other daily necessities. Detailed photos of the table can be seen underneath.
