Nike has quickly gained as much prominence in the performance technology arena as their Swoosh-branded apparel has on the proving grounds around the world. Taking the tools, strategies, and innovative products formerly only available to the pros, Nike and their Nike+ system has given the weekend warrior and the semi-pro alike that extra edge to take their game to the next level. Now, announced just today, Nike will be hosting their first ever Nike+ Accelerator program aimed at cultivating designers and companies interested in leveraging their Nike+ technology to create new fitness apps and products to add to their digital army of goods. The program will begin in March and will last three months, all hosted just outside of Nike HQ in Portland, Oregon. There, participants will work with Nike mentors to create new products focusing on training, coaching, exercise, and everything in-between. If you think you’ve got it in you, applications are due on February 3 and can be found here.
