Numerous critics identified the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo as the best concept car of 2012, and Porsche is riding the momentum by unveiling a behind-the-scenes video that explores the vehicle’s design process. Shot at the automaker’s R&D center in Weissach, Germany, the short film features interviews with Michael Mauer, Porsche style director, and Mitja Borkert, general manager of advanced design style, as well as exclusive footage of the various stages of the car’s development. They include the construction of the full-scale clay model, as well as detailed breakdowns of the design highlights, ranging from chrome-plated LED headlights to the wind diffuser inspired by the Porsche 918 Spyder.
