For Kobe Bryant and his Lakers team, talk of a title as the NBA season started has been lately replaced by drastically lowered expectations: Kobe’s now putting in work in his Nike Kobe 8s with the mere hope of making it into the postseason. And while his work shoes are low-cut and lightweight, his signature Air Force 1s represent the antipode — they’re Velcro-bound, high cut and bulky, featuring aged leathers and straightforward colorways. There’s a Black/Court Purple style featuring a weathered suede upper and snakeskin Swoosh, paired with a Summit White style that uses a distressed tonal leather across the entire upper.
