Re/Create New York Auction: Louis Vuitton Golden Arrow Pin from Kim Jones to Hurricane Sandy Relief

Last month, the Council of Fashion Designers of America partnered with Vogue to raise over $1.7 million for relief organizations in the wake of Super Storm Sandy through an online auction. Inspired by the huge success of the event, the fashion industry wants to raise even more through a separate auction, named Re/Create New York, which begins this Friday, January 11 and includes some very creative pieces on the docket from over 50 musicians, artists, and designers. One of those pieces is a Golden Arrow Pin designed by Kim Jones for Louis Vuitton, which is the perfect way to accessorize and add a touch of style to a simple sweater or jacket. Coming with a detachable arrowhead for quick fastening, the entire piece is just about 5 inches long and includes a red, white, blue, and black feather reminiscent of the ’60’s fashion scene. If you want to have a chance to own this unique piece, head to the Re/Create New York Auction site beginning at 10:00am Eastern this Friday morning.

Auction Begins: January 11th, 2013 (Friday), 10:00am Eastern
