Mercedes Benz CLA Class Creating A New Segment In Automotive Design

As an answer to the overwhelming response from its http://freshnessmag.com/2012/04/18/mercedes-benz-concept-style-coupe/” target=”_blank”>Concept Style Coupé, http://mbusa.com” target=”_blank”>Mercedes-Benz will be introducing a brand new model class in its product portfolio, the CLA Class, at today’s http://naias.com” target=”_blank”>Detroit Auto Show. A smaller, four-door variant of the http://mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicles/class/class-CLS” target=”_blank”>CLS Class, which made its debut back in 2003, the CLA features a sleek body style with a drag coefficient of only 0.22. A near 1:1 duplicate of Concept Style Coupé, down to the diamond radiator grille, LED headlights, and the three sweeping lines across the side panels. Finally, the sloping roof line and rear windows further elaborate the concept of four-door coupe design. On its interior, galvanized and electroplated finishes produce a luxurious feel. The free floating LCD display allows a more space efficient dashboard. Optional ambient light is available through fiber-optic wiring. Other optional features include radar-based Collision Prevention Assist, Blind Spot and Lane Keeping Assist, Active Parking Assist, 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, and more.

Available in five different options, including the CLA 220 CDI with direct injection diesel engine and CLA 250 with its 211 horsepower output. All set to debut at a dealership near you starting this April.
