In creating Woolrich Woolen Mills‘ Fall/Winter 2013 collection, Mark McNairy took inspiration from vintage motorsports attire from the 1930s and ’40s, heralded by wool prints and vintage tweeds. McNairy’s fifth collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills, the made in the USA pieces are finished in rich autumnal hues, conveying both the dapper and rugged sensibility of a bygone era. Standout pieces take the form of reinterpreted classic Woolrich outerwear, like a striped peacoat and poncho, the latter inspired by McNairy’s seasonal fishtail parka. Vintage suiting is accessorized with bowties, suspenders and newsboy caps, reviving Depression-era looks with a modern twist. See more in the gallery below.
