The latest news out of Chicago has Derrick Rose dunking in practice, a good sign for Bulls fans who’ve been waiting for the one-time league MVP to return from a devastating ACL injury. In the meantime, adidas is set to launch the D Rose 3.5, designed and developed with the Chicago point guard. The upper features an overlay spiral pattern symbolizing Rose’s efforts to tighten his game, complemented with another spiral surrounding the D Rose logo on the ankle representing the strength and support the Chicago native gathers from his family. The oversized tongue features a reflective overlay of the logo, while the interior is inscribed with a “Rooted in Chicago” graphic. In terms of performance benefits, there’s a SPRINTWEB upper for lightweight support and breathability, as well as an ergonomic ankle collar pocket providing maximum support during hard cuts. Finally, SPRINTFRAME technology has an external heel counter for enhanced energy return and motion control. Look for the D Rose 3.5 to launch through the adidas online store in home and away colorways on January 31st.
