Ahead of the bone-chilling cold and howling wind set to blanket much of North America this week, footwear label The Generic Man has a sunnier disposition, thoroughly expressed through its Spring 2013 collaboration with COMME des GARçONS SHIRT. Comprised of three designs with two colorways for each silhouettes, from the Mohawk, a mid-top moccasin updated in lively colors of eggshell blue, rusty red, and moss green on one, dusty beige, charcoal, and shamrock green on the other. The Wellington is The Generic Man’s interpretation of the classic canvas sneaker, adorned with whimsical patterns like giant yellow-black word bubbles or bold hand written numbers in blue. Finally, there is the Wing Tip, another spin on a classic design, this time appointed with subtle outsole and a trio-color scheme of aquamarine blue, pistachio, and bubble gum pink, or royal yellow with sky and teal blue, all more liken to a wicker basket of Easter Eggs. All six delectable designs are now available through select COMME des GARçONS retailers worldwide.
