Two back-to-back wins, including yesterday’s 105 to 96 victory against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Lakers might be on the cusp of returning to its former self after a disappointing season. On the mend also is Dwight Howard, who scored 17 points against the Utah Jazz on Friday despite a sore shoulder and recovery from a back surgery. As a way to support the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and taking some of the load off his 6 ft 11 in frame, adidas Basketball designed the adidas D Howard Light, Dwight’s lightest signature sneaker to date. By incorporating tested designs found on adidas adiZero Crazy Light and others, the designers were able to reduce the overall weight of D Howard Light, yet still retain much of the support. And thanks to its Z-TORSION midsole, D Howard Light enjoys a level of flexibility and on-the-fly agility on the court. In most black tonal colorway with Lakers’ purple accents, the new signature also features Dwight’s new, superhero-inspired “DH” insignia on its reflective tongue. Look forward to Dwight Howard lacing up with his new signature edition during the second half of the NBA season in the next few months.
