Following a http://freshnessmag.com/2013/01/23/aether-new-san-francisco-flagship-store-video/?doing_wp_cron=1359410711.5339989662170410156250″ target=”_blank”>teaser video, http://aetherapparel.com/” target=”_blank”>Aether has officially opened the doors to its first ever stand-alone brick-and-mortar store, located in the Hayes Valley section of San Francisco. Designed and created by http://gaugain.net/” target=”_blank”>Thierry Gaugain and architectural firm http://envelopead.com/” target=”_blank”>envelope a+d, the structure is formed with three 8′ x 9.6′ x 40′ metal shipping containers, repurposed with a glass-encased cantilevered lounge, reclaimed oak floors and a vertical conveyor belt that efficiently displays the goods. In building the unique retail outpost, founders Jonah Smith and Palmer West sourced all construction work locally in San Francisco, and used structural and metal fabrication from http://cfrenchmetal.com/” target=”_blank”>Chris French Metal.
