If Nike's Flyknit technology is the future of footwear and it combines with their revolutionary Lunarlon sole, does that mean we're also able to build time machines and have our own hover packs? This may not be some crazy time-warp (because if it was, you know Nike's Bill Bowerman would've been behind that, too, in some way), but we do have another inflection point in the history of sneakers. With the new Flyknit Lunar1+, Nike's one-piece upper, which consists of a single thread and results in a highly breathable, flexible, and supportive shoe for an almost second-skin type feel, is attached to a Lunarlon sole for ultimate comfort. With a variety of colors releasing for both men and women, the line-up clearly is set to appeal to both runners and lifestyle buyers with a mix of vibrant blues, pinks, oranges, and yellows paired with more traditional colorways. Beginning to release February 14th at Nike retailers across the map, we now have a more reasonable reason to be excited for a date set in the middle of this chilly month.
Release Date: February 14, 2013 (Thursday)
