Is the Marantz Consolette Wireless Speaker Dock we previewed yesterday a little out of your price range? Then how about taking a look at this equally appealing and equally room-filling wireless speaker from Polk, the Woodbourne. It’s surprising that this is the first product of its kind from a brand best known for their personal speaker systems, but it certainly was well worth the wait. Working with both AirPlay and Bluetooth as well as wired connections with Dolby Digital decoding, this tabletop streaming audio speaker combines two 5-1/4″-inch mineral filled injection molded PP cone mid-woofers with rubber surrounds and two 1″ silk dome tweeters all within one clean warm mahogany veneer housing with a simple white grille. The Woodbourne also supports iOS charging via USB and an ethernet connection and also comes with its own App and a remote control to match its beautifully designed front panel. The Polk Audio Woodbourne will be available after March 2013 for $599.
