Nike SB Dunk High BHM QS McRad

Inspired by the 1980’s afro-punk band McRad and the start of Black History Month, Nike releases this colorful Dunk High BHM QS “McRad.” Fronted by legendary skater Chuck Treece, McRad was one of the first African American bands to grace the cover of Thrasher Magazine and were known best  for their “Dominant Force” EP, whose album cover drives the design behind this sneaker. Beginning with black suede overlays and white inset side and toe panels, Nike wraps green around the color and welt while red zigzags around the heel and laces. The ’86 on the forefoot of the left shoe marks the release of their “Absence of Sanity” record while the ’84 notes the magazine appearance. All together, a nice way to kick off a month full of celebrations. The McRad Dunk High will release this month at select Nike retailers in the coming weeks.

Dear Dumbass writer, What the fuck is "afro-punk"? Not Mcrad. Its funny (not really) that all these years later b.s labels like this still exist. Peace to Chuck. Fuck you writer. Dan
