Starting in 2003, designer Jeremy Scott began a partnership with adidas that has yielded increasingly outlandish collections with every new season. The popularity of the collaboration has increased proportionately with its eccentricity quotient; consequently, the new Spring/Summer 2013 range should prove to be a massive hit. The video lookbook — directed and scored by Nabil Elderkin — mimics grainy 8mm footage, creating a sharp contrast between the lo-fi aesthetic and the high-energy pieces on display. Those otherworldly looks include a totem-inspired eagle-print track suit with matching JS Wings sneakers; a cage track top inspired by ’90s rappers; and a whimsical leopard hoodie that transforms a scarf into a wraparound headdress replete with button eyes and leather fangs.
