Emerging menswear label Hood by Air debuted its Fall 2013 collection yesterday at Milk Studios as part of Fashion Week, representing the latest milestone for 24-year-old Shane Oliver. The New York-based designer, who started the brand in 2006 with a series of T-shirts, saw his runway show attended by the likes of Theophilus London and Waka Flocka Flame, as well as artist Terence Koh and fashion editor Nicola Formichetti. As for the clothes, they heralded the dark side of streetwear, presenting updated basics like logo sweatshirts and nylon outerwear, plus numerous leather pieces ranging from jackets to tunics. Rapper A$AP Rocky closed the show with a surprise guest appearance, momentarily overshadowing fellow guest model Boychild, the San Francisco-based performance artist.
