For N. Hoolywood‘s Fall/Winter 2013 collection, founder and creative director Daisuke Obana paid homage to Amelia Earhart and the early days of aviation. The models wore leather bombers with shearling collars — replete with old-school leather helmets and goggles — and one-piece flight suits underneath camel overcoats. Trousers were either tucked into knee-high leather lace up boots or cut in full pleated silhouettes and paired with vintage outerwear, reminiscent of the roaring ’20s. Tailored suits were double-breasted and broad-shouldered, evoking the moguls on the ground who financed the aviation pioneers’ flights of fancy. Check out more looks from N.
