Converse digs into its extensive archive to debut its 1970s Chuck Taylor All Star, released under the brand’s exclusive First String Standards banner. The shoe is a faithful reproduction of the silhouette from the Me Decade, featuring subtle details that set it apart from its modern counterpart. They take the form of higher rubber foxing, a bulkier toe box and extra interior cushioning. Sharp-eyed observers will also notice added stitch detail along the side, as well as a vintage license plate at the heel and heavy-grade cotton canvas used throughout the upper. Original black and white colorways of the 1970s Chuck Taylor are set to launch globally on February 15th, available through the following retailers: Concepts (Massachusetts), JUICE (Shanghai), Foot Patrol (London) and HAVEN (Canada). Additional colorways, including Sunflower and Crimson, drop in April, followed by even more colors in July.

Release Date: February 15th, 2013 (Friday)
