JR may have set foot into Japan before, but this show marks his first solo exhibition in Japan. Welcoming JR was the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art, situated in Shibuya, Tokyo. The facade of the building was customized by JR, showcasing the various portraits taken in Japan earlier. Inside, the exhibition focuses on various works completed by the Parisian artist over the years from his early works to the current Inside Out Project. The exhibition will be on display until Saturday, June 2, so be sure to pop into the museum before it ends.
Exhibition Date: February 10, 2013 (Sunday) – June 2, 2013 (Saturday) | 11am – 7pm
