Showcasing both style and pride, the newly unveiled away kit that Nike has created for the French Football Federation is crafted from technically innovative materials in an eye-catching light blue shade. The shirt has a button collar and the iconic French cockerel crest at the left chest, plus laser-cut ventilation holes and tricolore accenting around the cuffs of both sleeves. The same complementary tricolore detail appears at the sides of the matching shorts, while the top of the socks also bears the red, white and blue of the French flag. Finally, the phrase translated to “Our differences bring us together” is printed on interior of the shirt, just below the collar. In terms of technical benefits, the kits use sweat-wicking Nike Dri-FIT technology for fabric that’s 23% lighter and 20% stronger than previous Nike kits. The fabric itself is crafted from recycled polyester — 100% recycled for the shorts, 96% for the shirt — composed of an averaged 13 recycled plastic bottles.
The French Female Football Team will sport the new kits against Brazil on March 9th, while the men’s team follows suit on March 22nd for their qualifying game against Georgia. An accompanying sportswear collection that fans can wear to show their support features hoodies, tees and jackets.
