Chalk one up for independent designers everywhere. Nearly a year after ADR Design first drew up the renderings for its Instagram Socialmatic Camera concept, the company announced this week that it recently approved to have the concept made under the Polaroid branding. In the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ADR Design signed with C & A Marketing and PLR IP Holdings, the current owner of the Polaroid brand, the camera will be known as Polaroid Socialmatic Camera instead. The agreement also stipulated the addition of related accessories such as camera bags, lens, filters, and others. Production is set to start near the end of this year with the camera be available to consumers during the first quarter of 2014.

HENDERSON, NV. Socialmatic LLC announces they have signed a MoU agreement with C & A Marketing, the company grants rights to produce and market cameras and accessories under the Polaroid brand owned by PLR IP Holdings, LLC. The specific products covered under the terms of the deal is a new camera named Polaroid Socialmaticâ„¢ Camera. The agreement includes items as camera bags, lenses, filters and other camera accessories.
This product, based on a concept of ADR Studio landed on Internet on May 2012 with a lot of success, will bring a new way to understand the digital photography.
Socialmatic and C&A will work to finalize the MoU in a definitive agreement to make the Polaroid Socialmaticâ„¢ branded camera available to consumers in the first quarter of 2014. It will be distributed and produced by C & A Marketing, a noted leader in the camera accessory business.
