There’s a lot that goes into perfume development, including countless hours of work to get the scent to match its inspiration as it hits your palate. There’s also a lot that went into Dutch artists Lernert and Sander‘s “Everything Perfume” — in fact, everything went into their concoction. Donning their lab coats, the duo tracked down all 1,200 perfumes that were launched in 2012 and blended them together into a custom-made 1.6 liter vial simply entitled, Everything. Of course, this is no longer an exercise on finding a new, meaningful scent, but rather a project that gains substance just from the fact that it reflects everything all at once. You can smell it for yourself from March 1 to March 9, 2013 at Colette in Paris, with Lernert & Sander themselves attending on Saturday, March 2 from 4-6pm. If you want to learn more, you can view a behind-the-scences video of the project after the jump or browse through a listing of all 1,200 fragrances here.
