As if you weren’t jealous enough of professional drivers, the dude who got to jump behind the seat of probably the most extreme SUV to ever wear the¬†Mercedes¬†Benz logo definitely takes the cake. Dubbed the G63 AMG 6◊6, this equally intimidating and luxurious¬†six-wheeled vehicle actually was first intended for military duty with the¬†Australian¬†army, but with a few plush tweaks, this leather-lined edition is now aimed directly at MB’s most affluent¬†adrenaline¬†junkies. Capable of producing 536 hp through its twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8, this beast is able to produce over 560 lb-ft of torque, which is necessary to get this 8,322-pound truck flying over dunes with the help of a 7G-tronic seven-speen automatic transmission. Inside the four-door cabin, which is raised some 18-inches off the ground, you’ll find polished bamboo, lux leather on its AMG seating, an integrated stainless steel roll cage, and all the trimmings of any MB coupe. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the G63 AMG is expected to be MB’s second most-expensive model behind the new SLS Electric Drive, which has a $457,000 price tag. Production begins this October.
