Having developed what it calls “the best shoe for multi-sport training,” Nike introduces the Free Trainer 5.0, delivering lightweight comfort and a supportive lockdown fit in a distinctive package. Designers Laura Parett and Jeff Rasmussen engineered an eye-catching woven upper equipped with dynamic-fit technology that moves with and adjusts to the foot. The result is a glove-like fit, courtesy of pliable intertwined bands that become engaged when pressure is applied with side-to-side movements. Meanwhile, the natural motion of the Nike Free sole is good for a barefoot-like feel with resilient cushioning, complemented with rubber nodes on the outsole for multi-surface traction. Check out a video overview below, and look for the Nike Free Trainer 5.0 to launch globally on March 28th at select Nike retailers and online.
