Most disdained it as a creepy crawler, but for Robbie Fuller, the designer at adidas Advanced Footwear Category, the lowly centipede helped him devised the design behind adidas CrazyQuick Basketball. A brand new footwear in its performance category, the CrazyQuick Basketball allows more maneuverability than any previous adidas models, yet retains speed and flexibility. This is largely thanks to the shoe’s four “Quick Zones” from toe to heel. Each acting as independent suspension, which allows aggressive movement without undermining grip on the court. Because speed is always a factor, adidas added 17 diverging pods, capable of specific support which adds traction and speed, all the while without the addition of weight onto the design.
Said to be the most tested footwear design on adidas Basketball product portfolio, the adidas CrazyQuick Basketball will launch on May 1st through select adidas retailers for a suggested retail price of $140.
