As part of its INTELLIGENCE feature, premier Canadian retailer HAVEN presents a conversation Shinsuke Takizawa. The NEIGHBORHOOD founder discusses his humble beginnings as a designer, taking advantage of the emergence of Apple computers to launch his own line of t-shirts. Then and now, Takizawa takes inspiration from the city of London, noting the energy and unique culture of the British capital. Similarly, he’s also influenced by his many hobbies, to the point that he sees no demarcation point separating his personal interests and his work. Customizing motorcycles and cars, playing bass in a band — they’re both aspects of the NEIGHBORHOOD brand.
