In the latest episode of Art Talk, VICE took a trip down to Mexico where Rostarr was holding his solo exhibition, Turbo Arena, at Anonymous Gallery. Born Romon Kimin Yang, the Brooklyn native is well known for his calligraphy style artworks. Though abstract in nature, the artworks are often inspired by real life events, such as the devastation brought on by Hurricane Sandy. The video interview delves into the childhood of Rostarr, and his shift into creativity and self expression as a youngster. Even if you have seen and read some interviews with Rostarr previously, this is another insightful video that should not be missed for art fans.
