In place of the usual lateral checkerboard panels, Japanese-American designer Taka Hayashi installed repetitive pattern of palm leaf silhouettes instead for his latest designs for VANS. Part of VANS Vault‘s Spring 2013 Collection, the curious alteration on the TH Cornice LX and TH Revere Hi LX reflects a vintage feel to the design. A premium spin on the classic VANS Sk8-Hi and VANS Chukka Boot themselves, both Cornice LX and Revere Hi LX also feature a luxurious suede upper, genuine Horween leather ankle collars, and the classic checkerboard graphics on the medial panels. Both will be available starting next month at select VANS Vault retailers worldwide.
