As the first boutique to seamlessly merged signature design elements from both streetwear and contemporary fashion labels. New York City’s Nom de Guerre was also the only one to include merchandises from Common Projects, COMME des GARÇONS, and Nike Tier-0 footwear all next to each other. While its sub-terrain doors closed for good over three years ago, the trendsetting store’s impact on men’s fashion still reverberates today. Case in point is the re-introduction of NDG, eyeglasses created by Oliver Peoples and Nom de Guerre. Crafted by hand, the polished plastic frame features a visible metal wire core and silver pin accents with Oliver Peoples’ plaque laminated. An updated version to Roy Orbison’s signature eyeglasses, the Oliver Peoples x Nom de Guerre NDG eyeglasses comes in four colors, including black, cocobolo, dark mahogany, and smoke as seen here. All are now available through Oliver Peoples and authorized retailers such as MR PORTER.
