Just as the best of college basketball claims dominance in the Final Four bracket this coming weekend, a new generation of on-court superstars will emerge on April 3rd at the 36th Annual McDonald’s All American Games in Chicago. Outfitting all 25 prospects will be the new CrazyQuick basketball shoe from adidas, a design which challenges the conventional notions of a basketball sneaker with improved flexibility and traction. Such performance is thanks largely to its unique four “quick zones” outsole design, which acts independently or as a whole, all depending on the player’s needs. The “McDonald’s All American” edition features a TECHFIT upper in a fading red-to-black colorway, a polished black SPRINTFRAME construction, and a flex outsole, also in red and black. To accentuate the bold colors further, each model includes adidas’ Three Stripes in white with golden flecks as a reference to McDonald’s signature Golden Arches, a game emblem on its tongue and sockliner, and finally, a “2013” marking on the tongue’s inside and heel to honor this year’s McDonald’s All American class.
In addition to the “McDonald’s All American” edition, be sure to check your local Foot Locker, Eastbay and adidas.com online store on May 1st as the adidas CrazyQuick drops in five different colorways. You can also pre-order them starting on April 17th.
