Less than a week after the official unveiling of its new Eric Koston signature shoe, Nike SB gives us an in-depth at the upcoming Nike P-Rod 7. As the name implies, this seventh Nike Skateboarding signature model for Paul Rodriguez is quite different from its previous iterations. Completely re-designed from the ground up, the P-Rod VII features a new last, which gives it more flexibility than its predecessors. Similar to the current P-Rod 6, a full-length Lunarlon will once again take part as the midsole for lightweight cushioning. To optimize the wearer’s comfort, designers at Nike also added a seamless inner sleeve and an anatomical sockliner along its interior.
Along the exterior, the original herringbone tread pattern makes a return and so is the vulcanized rubber outsole. In the meantime, a reinforced heel panel replaces the external heel counter for a cleaner appearance. A mix of tumbled leather and suede with a subtle hints of tiger stripe on the Premium Models, the Nike Paul Rodriguez 7 is set to be available starting on July 5th of this year.
