Now, Hennessey Venom GT has recorded the world fastest top speed record for street-legal car. The American muscle car weighs only 1,244kg, and boasts an impressive 1,244 horsepower and 1,155 lb-ft of torque, an incredible 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. This beast reached 265.7 mph over two miles, beating the 258 mph of Bugatti, which has speed-limiter on its production cars.
