First introduced last year with great fanfare, the new VANS LXVI label returns this season with its very own camouflage pack. Though not just any camouflage but authentic MultiCam camouflage by New York City's Crye Precision. Based in Brooklyn Navy Yard, Crye Precision helped to revolutionize the design process of Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) with its MultiCam, a multi-environment camouflage pattern which allowed war-fighters to operate in different theaters of operation. So effective in fact, it beat out the U.S. Army developed DigiCam-base Army Combat Uniform (ACU) and is currently the standard-issue among operators of the special operations branch and all ground troops in Afghanistan.
For Spring 2013, VANS LXVI outfitted its Graph, Secant, Numeral, Variable and Stat footwear in the same tactical MultiCam materials. Thus, creating a military-inspired look that is also stylish. The VANS LXVI MultiCam Pack is available now through VANS and VANS LXVI retailers as well as its online store.
