Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera With Super 16 1080HD Sensor

Presented on the show floor of 2013 NAB Show was something out of the ordinary, both in size and price. Introducing the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, a full-HD film camera that fits in your pocket. But don’t let the point-and-shoot form factor fool you, this is a fully fledged video camera

Designed to be use for every purpose, in every scenario, from independent film, photo journalism, personal usage, documentary, and more… the Pocket Cinema Camera housed a Super 16 1080HD film sensor with an effective size of 12.48mm x 7.02mm. Capable of 13 stops in dynamic range and frame rates from 23.98p to 30p, the camera records in Lossless CinemaDNG RAW and Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) resolution. The most impressive feature, however, is its ability to take on a large assortment of accessories. Like the larger Blackmagic Cinema Camera introduced at last year’s NAB Show, the Pocket Cinema Camera can accommodate different DSLR rigs, viewfinder, follow focus attachment, microphone, matte box, and Micro Four-Thirds lens by Olympus, Lumix, Leica, Zeiss, and Voigtlaender.

Retails at an affordable $995 USD, you can pre-order the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera by Blackmagic Design now with shipping to come in July of this year.
