Daft Punk “Random Access Memories” The Collaborators: Nile RodgersThe new Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, is set to release in a little over a month on May 21. To help usher in the new album and give us a unique view into their world, the group has recently launched a video series and they’ve just dropped the third installment, featuring Chic’s Nile Rodgers. While Rodgers is well known in the jazz world and his love of all things groove (“Where I come from, groove is everything. Groove is something that’s rewarding on a spiritual level.), but he sees his work with Daft Punk as a chance to redefine himself, to be a “new Nile” just as the Robots themselves have evolved. In the short clip, Nile even previews a taste of what is to come from the “new Nile” with a guitar lick that just may part of the song of the summer. You can watch the video for yourself, put together by the Creators Project, after the click.
