Essentially the footwear version of “Bodies: The Exhibition,” Nike debuted a new exhibition at their Stadium Milano location that explores the science and art of the body when in natural motion. Over the years, this concept has played a big part in Nike’s design philosophy, producing the likes of the Nike Free and the Nike Flyknit, where principles of fit and flex rise in priority as the amount of material between your feet and freedom decreases. Called The Art and Science of Natural Motion, Nike and top digital artists from Universal Everything, designer Daniel Widrig, and visual artists Davide Quayola and Natan Sinigaglia have come together to create their own interpretations of the body in motion and allow viewers to interact with the exhibit through 3D audio and visual technology. The Art + Science of Natural Motion will travel to Tokyo, New York and London over the next six months, joined by special editions of the Flyknit Racer, Inneva Woven, and the HTM Flyknit Trainer+.
