More than ever, the 2013 NBA Playoffs demonstrates the changing dynamics between teams and players. While both the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder were “shoe-in” to be the postseason’s favorites early on, they are now in the company of unfamiliar contenders. The New York Knicks made it to the top of the Atlantic Division for the first time since 1994. Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers clinched the Central Division title, another first for the team since 2004. Then there was the Los Angeles Clippers, which set franchise history by winning its very first Pacific Division title.
