In response to the countless requests from DJ friends and associates, designer Alex Drayer took pain to gauge all the tools, both hardware and soft goods, a globetrotting disc jockey would carry in a gig. In the midst of the design process, Drayer also asked DJ Clark Kent and DJ Young Guru, Jay-Z’s own sound engineer, for inputs. At the end of this near-obsessive behavior was the LEXDRAY Ibiza DJ Pack.
Known simply as the DJ Pack for Red Bull’s Thre3Style DJ Competition at one point, the LEXDRAY Ibiza DJ Pack features all spaces for a traveling DJ’s needs and wants. Consists of four zipped compartments, including one lined with fleece for either an 18-inch laptop or an Apple iPad, there are also six mesh pockets and four padded slots to stowaway memory cards, flash drive, cellphone, even a Serato SL4 audio interface and Shure needle case. Hidden away at the back is another compartment, designed to store CDs and other small trinkets.
Lined with grey-scale duck camo liner, each is made of near indestructible Codrua brand nylon and features five small footpoints to guarantee the pack sits upright all the time. Retails for $405 USD, the LEXDRAY Ibiza DJ Pack is available now through select retailers and lexdray.com online store.
