The latest Windows Ultrabook to square off against the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro is the Toshiba KIRAbook, housed in a pressed magnesium alloy body and boasting a 2,560 x 1,440 13.3-inch display (the first Windows notebook to sport that level of screen resolution). It has a fingerprint resistant touchscreen courtesy of Corning Concore Glass, and a firm extra-wide hinge to reduce screen wobble. The base model, priced at $1,600, packs an Intel Core i5-3337U processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid state drive and Windows 8 Pro. Touchscreen capabilities can be added to this model for an additional $200, while the top-of-the-line configuration includes a touchscreen and a Core i7-3537U processor for $2,000. It comes packaged in a svelte case that starts at 2.66 pounds and measures just 0.7 inches thick at its narrowest point. Look for the Toshiba KIRAbook to start shipping in May.

Very nice. Once it gets a bigger screen, I'll probably buy it.
