The goth ninja acolytes of Rick Owens will be satisfied to know that his Parisian digs look exactly how you’d expect them to — high-end glamorous grunge (or “glunge,” as Owens calls it). The American designer moved to France from California a decade ago, establishing residence in the former French Socialist Party headquarters on the Place du Palais Bourbon, a building that had stood empty for nearly 20 years. Recently revealed to the Wall Street Journal, the space is appointed with furniture the expat designer developed himself — created with art in mind, not comfort — highlighted by a monolithic brass-topped table, as well as cashemer felt-covered plywood bed in the master bedroom. It almost goes without saying that taxidermied animals and human skulls register their obligatory appearances. Check out more looks in the gallery below.
