Bucking the rumors, gossip, and leaked images, Samsung officially releases their Galaxy Tab 3 tablet, designed to be as portable as it is powerful. Although some sources expected the screen to measure up to 8-inches, Samsung decided to lean toward ease of travel, making the new device its more familiar 7-inches with a similar looking design, layout, and display. The Galaxy Tab 3 runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and comes with improvements in its screen resolution (1024×600 pixels at 169 ppi), cameras (3 MP in the rear and 1.3 MP in the front), and processor (1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM). To go along with the crisper display and increased speed, Samsung also added a microSD card expansion slot for an extra 64GB and a 4,000 mAH Li-ion battery that should do its part to allow this device to keep up with your busy schedule. Additional perks include an internal accelerometer, light sensors, and an A-GPS system. We’re still awaiting price details, but the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab 3 is expected to release in early May and a 3G available in June. Enjoy more picks of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 after the click.
