Land Rover turns 65 this month, and the British automaker is celebrating the milestone with the launch of the Defender LXV, a special edition two-door Defender 90 Hard Top. The LXV borrows the same 2.2-liter diesel engine from the standard Defender, good for 120 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, and equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. Available in Santorini Black or Fuji White, the vehicle features 16-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels, as well as contrasting Corris Grey at the roof, grille and headlight surrounds. The interior is appointed with seats, steering wheel and a center compartment wrapped in black leather, accented with contrast stitching in bright orange. An optional Union Jack decal at the back rounds out the details. Limited to just 65 units, the Land Rover Defender LXV will fetch an asking price of £28,765 (approximately $44,500).
