Ahead of its official launch this summer, the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo has received a number of exterior tweaks to enhance its already sporty look. They include a contrasting grey finish at the front and rear fascias, side mirrors, lower sills and giant rear spoiler, with almost all the elements accented with Nismo-style red pinstripes. The body — made 6.2 inches longer than the standard Z with an elongated nose — rides on 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires. Interior upgrades are limited to a red Nismo tachometer and a steering wheel wrapped in leather and Alcantara. Power comes from the same 3.7-liter V6 engine, producing 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match technology, which enables “blipping” of the throttle to smooth out gear changes.
