Hailed as the world’s first full-color desktop 3D printer, the ProDesk 3D from botObjects is a 3D printer capable of printing all the colors of the rainbow, using a unique five-color PLA cartridge system that mixes different shades on the fly. It’s a mechanism that’s similar to your inkjet printer, the primary difference being that the objects that the printer churns out are rendered in glorious 3D. A 25-micron dual extruder head ensures that those objects feature a high-quality finish. Best of all, the ProDesk3D arrives out of the box complete, without any complicated setup required. Pricing and release details have yet to be announced, but the company hopes to start shipping the printers in June.
