What do you get when you combine car fanatics with extreme Batman fans? You get a stunning Tumbler replica, complete with a 6.2L V8 engine that is stocked and ready for this year’s Gumball 3000 rally. The geniuses behind this street-legal, jet black supercar is the crew from Florida’s Parker Brother’s Concepts and the international racing crew Team Galag, who spent over $1.6 million to recreate the one driven by Batman in Christoper Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. The evil spawn of a tank and Lamborghini, this ride produces over 400hp, is capable of reaching speeds over 100mph, and is expected to be one of the cars causing the most jaws-dropped per mile over the 3,000 mile trek, which begins in Copenhagen May 18th. But, then again, that’s exactly the purpose behind this 15-year old race, which emphasizes the “pimp my ride” mentality more than speed, especially given the fact that there isn’t a prize for first place, but rather a “Spirit of the Gumball” awarded to the team with the most creative car.
